Review + Reputation Workflow

Ask every customer for a review, automatically. Happy customers land on your Google or Yelp profile; unhappy ones get a private feedback path before they vent in public.

What's included

Everything you need to ship

You do great work. Your review count does not show it.

Your happiest customers rarely leave reviews on their own; the annoyed ones always do. The fix is not begging, it is a system: ask every customer at the right moment, make leaving a review effortless, and give frustrated customers a direct line to you.

This template runs that system for you. Add a customer after a job or purchase (by hand, CSV, or your automation tools), and it sends a polite review request by email or SMS on a schedule you control. The customer taps a star rating on a clean branded page, sees one-click buttons to your Google, Yelp, or Facebook profiles, and always has a private feedback option too.

Compliance is the feature

Review platforms punish gating, and SMS law punishes sloppy consent. This template is built around both:

  • No review gating. Every customer sees your public review links AND the private feedback path, whatever star they tap. That keeps you inside Google's review policies while still catching problems privately first.
  • TCPA-aware SMS. Texts only go to customers with recorded consent (a signed attestation checkbox for manual adds, consent fields on import), every message carries opt-out language, and STOP is honored instantly and permanently.
  • Polite by default. One follow-up nudge at most, quiet-hours friendly cadence, automatic suppression after a request so nobody gets double-asked, and a cooldown before anyone can be asked again.

How it works

  1. Add customers: one at a time, by CSV with a dry-run preview, or via your automation stack (a Zapier/Make recipe is included).
  2. The engine sends the request (email, SMS, or both, per customer consent) and one optional reminder, then stops.
  3. The customer rates on your branded page. Star clicks are recorded; public review buttons and the private feedback form are both right there.
  4. You watch it work: a dashboard with your star histogram, response rate, click-throughs to review profiles, and open private feedback to resolve.

What you get

  • Automated request cadence with an atomic send engine (overlapping cron runs can never double-text a customer)
  • Branded rating page with up to 3 review destinations (Google, Yelp, Facebook, or any URL)
  • Private feedback inbox with resolve/unresolve triage
  • Customer timeline: every request, click, rating, and message in one view
  • CSV import with dry-run preview; suppression and cooldown handled automatically
  • 3 presets (local services, ecommerce, professional practice) plus demo data
  • 145 automated tests including race-condition proofs on the send engine

Built for AI editing

Ships agent-ready: AGENTS.md for Cursor, Claude Code, and Windsurf, plus CUSTOMIZE_WITH_AI.md with paste-ready recipes (change the cadence, add a destination, restyle the rating page). Customize without learning the internals.

Under the hood

Next.js 15, Supabase (Postgres + magic-link admin auth), Resend for email, Twilio for SMS (both optional, degrade gracefully), Tailwind v4, TypeScript strict.

Requirements

Supabase project (free tier works). Resend for email requests; Twilio for SMS requests (either alone is fine). Deploys to Vercel with an hourly cron in about 30 minutes with the included guide.
