Two-Sided Marketplace Starter
Launch a real two-sided marketplace with Stripe Connect payouts built in. Vendors onboard and get paid automatically, you take a commission on every sale, and buyers check out in one flow.

Marketplace
Everything you need to ship
The hard part of a marketplace is the money. This template already solved it.
Anyone can build a listings page. The reason most marketplace projects stall is the payments: onboarding sellers so they can legally get paid, splitting each sale between the seller and your commission, handling refunds, and keeping it all compliant. This template ships that entire money layer working, on Stripe Connect, so you can focus on your niche instead of your ledger.
Vendors apply, complete Stripe onboarding, and list products. Buyers purchase in a single checkout. Stripe routes the payment to the vendor and your commission to you automatically, on every order. You run the marketplace; the payouts run themselves.
A real Stripe Connect money path, done right
- Destination charges with server-computed pricing. The buyer's price, your commission, and the currency are all calculated server-side from the database, never trusted from the client, so a tampered request cannot change what gets charged.
- Vendors are gated on their payout capability, not a vague "enabled" flag, so a half-onboarded seller can never receive a payment they cannot be paid out for.
- Two separate signature-verified webhooks (one for payments, one for account status), each idempotent, so a duplicated Stripe event is a safe no-op.
- Refunds handled properly, partial and full, with downloads and reviews gated to match.
- Commission omitted when it rounds to zero (Stripe rejects a zero fee), and snapshotted at payment time so later price edits never rewrite past orders.
Three complete surfaces
- Buyers: browse with full-text search, category pages, product pages with vendor ratings and reviews, one-click checkout, an orders area with secure downloads and a message thread to the seller.
- Vendors: apply, finish Stripe onboarding from a status card, list and manage products with image uploads, fulfill orders, and see gross, fees, and net at a glance.
- Admins: approve vendor applications and product listings, manage categories and reviews, adjust the commission rate, and a refund runbook.
What you get
- Complete Stripe Connect integration (GA v1 connected accounts with controller properties, transfers capability, destination charges)
- Digital product delivery via short-lived signed download URLs from private storage
- Full-text search, category taxonomy, moderation queues for both vendors and products
- Per-order buyer-to-vendor messaging and one-review-per-order with refunded-purchase badges
- 3 presets (services, digital goods, local experiences) with a believable seeded marketplace
- 166 automated tests including an end-to-end apply, approve, list, buy, fulfill, review flow and anonymous-access lockdown proofs
Built for AI editing
Ships agent-ready: AGENTS.md for Cursor, Claude Code, and Windsurf, plus CUSTOMIZE_WITH_AI.md and a RECIPES guide (change the commission, add a product type, the live Stripe smoke test, and an Accounts v2 migration map for when it reaches GA). Customize without learning the internals.
Under the hood
Next.js 15, Supabase (Postgres + magic-link auth + private/public storage), Stripe Connect (destination charges, connected accounts, two webhook endpoints), Resend for email, Tailwind v4, TypeScript strict.
Requirements
Supabase project and a Stripe account with Connect enabled. Resend optional for email. Deploys to Vercel with two Stripe webhook endpoints; the included guide walks through both. This is the most involved template in the collection; budget an afternoon for the full Stripe setup.
Plays well with
- Stripe
- Resend
